Access to safe drinking water

According to the World Health Organization, 780 million people worldwide lack access to clean drinking water.  Unsafe drinking water, inadequate availability of water for hygiene, and lack of access to sanitation together contribute to about 88% of deaths from diarrhoeal diseases.

An estimated 801,000 children younger than 5 years of age die from diarrhoea each year, mostly in developing countries. This means that about 2,200 children are dying every day.

Acceptable, low-cost solutions at the household level are capable of dramatically improving the quality of water, reducing the risks of diarrhoeal disease.

JERRY provides an inexpensive solution that is simple to install, operate and maintain, encouraging users to treat their drinking water on a daily basis.
